The 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A110 with Android Jelly Bean and Tegra 3 Quad Core to provide competition for Nexus 7

The Taiwan based Acer has decided to enter the competition for the 7 inch tablet market on September with the company’s new and improved Iconia Tab A110 that is expected to rival the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire. The Acer Iconia Tab A110 features an Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core processor and the same screen size as the competition, which definitely builds expectations for the device to cost a little over $200 so that it could compete with the Nexus 7. Pictures of the Acer Iconia Tab A110 have indicated that the device will come with Android 4.1 “Jelly Bean” just like the Nexus 7, will makes it the first Acer tablet with Jelly Bean. As for the hardware, the Acer Iconia Tab A110 features a quad-core from Nvidia identical to the one on the Nexus 7. The tablet is also set to be loaded with 1 GB of RAM and 8 or 16GB of flash memory. Although the 1024 × 600 display of the Acer Iconia Tab A110 is lower than the customary 1280 × 800 pixels, the tablet provides a wider selection of connections such as HDMI output and a microSD card slot in addition to the microUSB port. In terms of batteries, the Acer Iconia Tab A110 has a battery capacity of 3420mAh compared to the Nexus 7’s 4325mAh battery.
